Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and alef technology, a company registered in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (“Alef”, “we”, “us”, “our”), governing your access to and use of the Alef platform, websites at alef.ink, applications, and related services (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account, starting a free trial, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and AI Policy, which are incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you are authorised to bind that entity, and “you” refers to that entity.

• Account - the workspace you register to access the Service.
• Knowledge Base - the brand profile, services, competitor data, E-E-A-T evidence, authors, tone, keywords, and other information you provide to ground the platform’s output.
• Your Content - all data, text, brand information, prompts, and materials you submit to the Service, including your Knowledge Base.
• AI Output - articles, descriptions, suggestions, summaries, and other material generated for you by the Service’s AI features.
• Integrations - third-party services you connect to Alef, such as Google Search Console, WordPress, Shopify, Salla, and Zid.
• Subscription - a paid plan (Starter, Pro, or Business) or a free trial.

Alef is an Arabic-first content and visibility platform. It helps businesses appear in traditional search (SEO), AI Overviews (GEO), and AI assistant answers such as ChatGPT and Perplexity (AEO). The Service is organised around three pillars:

• Analytics - traffic and ranking data pulled from Google Search Console, plus measurement of how often your brand appears in AI model answers.
• Growth - an AI writing studio that produces brand-specific articles, posts, and newsletters, and an opportunities engine that surfaces content gaps.
• Knowledge - the Knowledge Base that grounds everything the platform produces.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that reduce core functionality of a paid plan.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for business use.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration information, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your Account. Notify us promptly at security@alef.ink if you suspect unauthorised access. You may invite team members and assign roles; you remain responsible for their use of the Service.

We offer monthly plans, with a discount available for annual subscriptions. Current plans, features, and prices are shown on the pricing section of our website and at checkout.

A 14-day free trial may be available. At the end of the trial, your selected plan begins and the first charge applies unless you cancel before the trial ends. We may change prices and plan features; price changes affecting your current subscription take effect at your next renewal, with prior notice.

All prices are in Saudi Riyals (SAR) and exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. VAT and any applicable taxes are added at checkout.

Subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorise us and our processor to charge your chosen payment method for the recurring fees, taxes, and any usage-based charges.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or annual) at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period.

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge and may suspend or downgrade your Account until payment is resolved.

Except where required by applicable law, fees are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods, unused features, or unused AI article allowances. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

You own Your Content. We do not claim ownership of your brand data, Knowledge Base, or the inputs you provide.

You grant Alef a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, process, reproduce, and transmit Your Content solely as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service for you - including sending relevant inputs to the AI providers and Integrations you have enabled. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or close your Account, subject to short technical retention in backups and to our legal obligations.

You represent that you have the rights to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe any third party’s rights or violate any law.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, as between you and Alef, you own the AI Output generated for your Account and may use it for any lawful purpose.

Because AI Output is generated by machine-learning models, it may contain errors, omissions, or content that is not accurate, current, or suitable. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, fact-checking, and approving all AI Output before you publish or rely on it. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users; we do not guarantee that AI Output is unique. Your use of AI features is also governed by our AI Policy.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• break any law or regulation, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• generate or publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, defamatory, hateful, or that constitutes spam or manipulative search behaviour (“black-hat” SEO);
• create content impersonating a person or organisation without authorisation, or misrepresent AI Output in a way that is misleading or deceptive;
• reverse engineer, copy, resell, or create a competing service from the Service, or scrape or extract data except through features we provide;
• upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorised access, probe or test the security of the Service, or interfere with its operation;
• exceed plan limits through automated means, or share a single seat to evade limits.

We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including removing content and suspending Accounts.

The Service connects to third-party platforms you choose to enable, including Google Search Console, WordPress, Shopify, Salla, and Zid. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies, not ours. You authorise Alef to access and exchange data with an Integration only to the extent needed to provide the features you use.

We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or changes they make to their APIs. Our handling of data accessed through Integrations - including Google user data - is described in our Privacy Policy.

The Service, including its software, design, brand, logos, and documentation, is owned by Alef or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service during your subscription, for your internal business purposes, in line with these Terms.

“Alef” and “ألِف”, the Alef logo, and related marks are our trademarks. You may not use them without our prior written permission. We welcome feedback and may use it without obligation to you.

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service; where this materially affects a paid feature, we will give reasonable notice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service and all AI Output are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant any particular results - including search rankings, traffic, citations in AI answers, conversions, or revenue. Search engines and AI systems are controlled by third parties whose behaviour we cannot guarantee.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alef and its founders, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising from or related to your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to Alef for the Service in the three (3) months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold Alef harmless from any claims, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses (including legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right - including any content you publish using AI Output.

You may stop using the Service and close your Account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or if required by law or to protect the Service or other users.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will make Your Content available for export for a limited period where reasonably practicable, after which we may delete it in line with our Privacy Policy and retention practices.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service before they take effect. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The parties will first try to resolve any dispute amicably. If they cannot, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the policies they reference, are the entire agreement between you and Alef regarding the Service.
